I don't often have time to go out and shoot stuff for fun (I know, sounds horrible) anymore so it is great when I get that opportunity. I went way up to the northwestern corner of the state to shoot a commercial job and I was able to grab a few quick shots before and after the paying gig. I'll post them over the next few days in the order they were taken....

Purple, Pink and Blue
The other day we had a spectacular sunset in Seattle- a rare occurrence. They usually only happen around the Summer Solstice when the sunset is far enough north to clear the Olympic Mountains. In the Winter the sun sets to the south of the mountains but it is hardly ever clear. Not on this night, conditions were perfect and the sky rivaled many I witnessed in Arizona- it is not often one sees pinks, blues and purple together in the sky.

Puppies
I did a magazine shoot (of people) yesterday and someone had these adorable 10 week old puppies. One had green eyes and the other grey. Ok, you probably know I am lying, it is the same puppy. It really has green eyes and I made a grey version because the owner said she never took a picture when her eyes were still grey when she was really little.

SharkRayTurtle
This one is dedicated to Angela & Cory, true explorers of the world's oceans (and beaches). I took these while staying totally dry at the Vancouver Aquarium. Not as fun as going to the Caribbean but then again I didn't have to breathe through one of those hose thingies that hook to a tank. This print is available for sale here. Also, check out Angela's amazing diving photos here.

Korea at 100 KPH
I love this photo. I think motion blurs can be gorgeous but you have to take so many to get a "keeper." This was taken from a bus while speeding through the countryside northwest of Seoul.

Old School
I found this slide in a large pile of stuff in my office closet. It is a photo I took of our fence when I was a kid. The gate is on the right, cedar and coated in creosote, and on the left is a 6x6 treated post. The chain locked the gate so the horses wouldn't have "free range" of the neighborhood. This gate ran east/west so this had to have been taken in the summer just before sunset, maybe in June.
