New Mexico

Last weekend a "family issue" took me away to New Mexico. It was a difficult trip but I was able to break away for about 2 hours to take some photos. Because of the nature of this trip, some of these photos are very personal and significant to me. I put up a larger gallery too, if you want to see more click here.

This shot was total happenstance- I stopped to aid an injured snake on the road (unfortunately he was a gonner) and saw this amazing scene from the highway overpass. Check out the watchful raven on the power pole (click photo for a larger version).

The Old Galisteo Cemetery-

The San Miguel Mission- the oldest church in the USA, dating back to about 1610 or so. This was shot with a Lensbaby 3G-

Modern hotel in downtown Santa Fe done in adobe style-

Cholla cactus fruit- this is a composite blended together. Also shot with a lensbaby.
