We went to Phoenix and Tucson over Thanksgiving weekend and visited with family and friends, it was a great trip. I also broke out the Nikon and the iPhone a bit, of course.
The animal photos were all taken at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, highly recommended if you are ever there.
For those of you interested in the gear, I used the Nikon 70-300 VR and the 17-35 2.8 lenses with my D700. The iPhone shot (1st image) was processed with the Mill Color app.
Many more photos in the full gallery.

iPhone Friday
Ice crystal on my car window this morning.
Three-eyed monster.
This one is funny. I don't remember it because I took it when was still sedated after a doctor visit. I used the Koredoko iPhone app to see where it was taken when I saw it on my phone a couple of days later. There should be a website for amnesia photography.

Visual Acoustics
I am really excited that the film "Visual Acoustics, the Modernism of Julius Shulman" is coming tho Seattle next month. How about that, a film about an architectural photographer! From the Visual Acoustics website-
"Narrated by Dustin Hoffman, VISUAL ACOUSTICS celebrates the life and career of Julius Shulman, the world’s greatest architectural photographer, whose images brought modern architecture to the American mainstream. Shulman, who passed away this year, captured the work of nearly every modern and progressive architect since the 1930s including Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, John Lautner and Frank Gehry."
For an amazing behind the scenes look at how the photo in this poster was made see the interview at the Taschen Books website.
For a list of showtimes in other cities see the Screenings Page.
