Happy New Year 2010

I want to say thanks to all of my readers/viewers for checking out Luminance Flux over the past year and I am sending warm wishes to you for 2010 and beyond! Knowing that you are out there reading this blog (all 6 and 1/2 of you) makes it all worth while to me.

On the last day of 2009 my wife and I went on a hike in the freezing rain and high winds to the place we were married up on a mountain ledge, it was amazing though our rain gear didn't really do it's job. Below is an iPhone photo of a large boulder in a spruce forest near the base of the mountain.

After midnight the strangest thing happened. We were getting gas and there was a guy filling up a super tiny motorcycle, like a clown bike or something. It was shiny gold and I swear not more than a foot tall. He got it started and sped off into traffic without lights or a helmet and within moments a King County sherrif's deputy did a quick u-turn and caught him! I don't think his decade started off too well.... Here is a vid of some of the action:
